Guests can expect personal and attentive service, a dedicated butler, sumptuous accommodation, sublime fine-dining and exquisite wines. The Blue Train offers scheduled services from Pretoria to Cape Town and Hoedspuit (perfect for the Kruger National Park) The itineraries are available in reverse. The complimentary accommodation is available on the Cape Town route in either Pretoria or Cape Town for one night pre or post train journey.
PRETORIA - CAPE TOWN - PRETORIA
The route between Pretoria and Cape Town is a 27-hour journey of 1 600 kilometres (994 miles), through some of the most diverse and spectacular scenery offered by the African sub-continent.
Southbound - Departs from Pretoria main train station at 8:30 and arrives in Cape Town at 12:00 the following day. En route to Cape Town there is a stopover and excursion in Kimberley, where you will step back in time to the days of the diamond rush.
Northbound - Leaves Cape Town at 08:30 and arrives in Pretoria at 12:30, in time for high tea the following day. It stops at Matjiesfontein for an off-the-train excursion. On arrival at Matjiesfontein guests are invited for a glass of sherry at the bar. The Victorian buildings and original nineteenth century London lampposts impart to the traveller, the uncanny sense of entering a colonial time warp – an oasis suspended in a different age.

PRETORIA - HOEDSPRUIT- PRETORIA
The Blue Train route between Pretoria and Hoedspruit is a unique experience. Running only a couple of times per year you will traverse beautiful landscape and spectacular scenery on the way to the Kruger National Park. We will arrange pre- and post train safari experiences.
Eastbound - Departs from Pretoria main train station at 1500 hours and arrives into Hoedspuit the next morning at 1000 hours.
Westbound - Leaves Hoedspuit at 1500 hours and arrives in Pretoria at 1000 hours the next day
Dinner is served in two sittings 1830 and 2030 and breakfast at 0630
Dinner is an elegant affair and men are requested to wear a jacket and tie and ladies elegant evening wear. Guests can enjoy post-dinner drinks, Cognacs & Cuban cigars in the Club car before retiring to bed.
